The world is an incredibly diverse place, full of things like blue and yellow frogs, towering rainforest trees, and a ridiculous variety of insects. Exploring and protecting that diversity of our planet is my passion. Research paths include mapping the planet's biodiversity, exploring the value of ecosystem services in the Brazilian Atlantic Forest, studying ants using satellites in space, and charting a sustainable future for the Peruvian Amazon. The science is broad in scope, but with a unifying theme of understanding and conserving biological diversity. Those interested in learning more can feel free to contact me about opportunities.
